Quality Value Price I expected an open box or display item. The speakers were still sealed in their original plastic.
As for the speakers they look and sound incredible.
For the pricepoint even if you get these new and pay full price they are so much for the money.
I have owned many different brands and classes of speakers throughout the years and the alpine type s is my top choice for interior speakers.
I add to this that no system is complete and can cover the full range you need without bass so if youre expecting base youre not going to get a tom from these. But if there is a sweep through to low bass and you have this coupled with the appropriate sub set up it's simply amazing. (Posted on 12/20/2015) -

Quality Value Price These speakers sound amazing. I would recommend them for anyone, whether they're looking to improve the sound in their car with a new pair of front speakers or installing a full car audio system.
These speakers are plenty powerful. My deck barely supplies half of the power that these speakers are able to receive. You would need a dedicated amplifier to see their full potential.
They also come with everything you need. The hardware makes it easy to mount and the provided wires clip right on to the terminals making a semi-permanent connection; secure, but easily swappable. (Posted on 11/4/2015) -

Quality Value Price I bought these speakers from Best Buy and installed them in my 2002 Silverado. I would have saved a ton of money buying them on Amazon but I used the salesman's time so I paid the extra cost. At the price on Amazon, these speakers are a steal! In store, I listened to Polk, Infinity, Kicker and Pioneer speakers that were in the same price range but these Alpines had by-far the cleanest, tightest sound. The others were noticeably tinny and distorted. These speakers can handle all the power from my simple Pioneer deck easily without distortion. I can't explain it better than a nice tight, compact, clean sound. I listen to reggae, funk and rap so my music uses a lot of bass tones but I don't like heavy bass levels, myself. These speakers can handle all the bass that I ask for. I like smooth mellow bass, crisp clear mids and not too sharp treble. These speaks are perfect for my application. Also, an adapter ring was included to match the 6.5" speakers to my 6.75" speaker holes in the front doors. I had to drill four holes per speaker but it wasn't a big deal. I'm extremely pleased with the results. Oh, and you can adjust the angle of the tweeter, which is a nice feature for door speaks. The Polk and Pioneer speakers got great reviews all over the interwebbings so I'm relieved that I actually listened to my options before purchase. I wouldn't have been pleased. I heard all of my options, and these Alpines were clearly the best sounding speakers. (Posted on 9/20/2015)

Quality Value Price I bought these speaker to go with the SPS 610 6.5 inch component and the 6x9 SPS619. They are very crisp in sound. If you are replacing these in a g35 coupe you will need the speaker adapters or the speakers are useless. wish i had known this ahead of time because my interior is torn to pieces while i wait for this part to come in. I was able to install the component set but will still need the adapter to get the proper fit and sound. WIll install the 6x9 in a couple of days. Great for what i already have installed . would definitly recommend and buy again

Quality Value Price I highly recommend these speakers. I listened to them in a local store and found them on Caraudiogiants for almost half the price. I replaced my factory speakers in an Acura and the sound is much better. I can hear so much more from my music now. You don't know how much you are missing until you hear it through better speakers. The big box store said they would match the price on Caraudiogiants, but that doesn't cover your tax expense.

Quality Value Price The only problem I have with these is the bass blocker. See, my radio already has a high pass filter that stops the low bass frequencies that I can adjust. I believe these have some really good low bass potential that alpine has decided not to bring out. On the other hand if my radio didn't that function, like most people's stereos I would be very happy about this.
Other than that these speakers are absolutely awesome. They are built solid and I love the pointable tweeter. I didn't figure that out though until after I put them in. Too bad but I can do that later.
They are decently loud but that's not the main idea behind these. They are made to sound good and they do. The midbass from 70-200 hz is REALLY good and my Alpine Type R 12 fills in the low end beautifully. With a set of SPS components for the front coming in the future I am well on my way to building one of the best sounding car audio systems I have ever heard. (Posted on 10/5/2014) -

Quality Value Price this alpine speaker is just amazing i hooked it into my car and the over all sound was amazing.... good bass mid and the highs well exceeded my expectation.....i have them hooked up with polk audio 3.5 inch speakers and a JL audio sub in back and i have to say i have been through cars with some of the best audio around but this set up and speakers are one of the best i have heard

Quality Value Price I am running these directly off my headunit, as I didn't want to get a separate amplifier for my components & coaxials. This is quite an upgrade from the stock speakers in my 4runner. Alpine has always impressed me, and they delivered again.
I will say that these speakers are crossed over at 100hz, and I have a subwoofer to complement them, so I can't comment on their bass response. But the highs are pretty darn clear!
These speakers aren't going to sound quite as good as the really expensive speakers, but they're pretty good for what they are, and at a fraction of the price (and you won't have to buy a separate amp). (Posted on 10/4/2014) -

Quality Value Price I was a little skeptical when I checked the price on Caraudiogiants, after all they were early half price compared to our local BB electronic national chain store. They arrived on time, wrapped in plastic from the factory - same box, same speakers.
INSTALLATION - I installed them in about 45 minutes on the back deck of my Honda Civic, I went through the trunk and mounted them from underneath instead of removing the entire back deck to mount via drop in. They came with quick clips and OEM brackets for a variety of configurations.
SOUND - For the first 20 to 30 minutes, they had a distorted sound with very little to no bass. Once the capacitor was primed (break in period, others talk about it), the sound was remarkable! Awesome range with very tight bass, midrange and high end. I am using the factory radio deck and difference is awesome! Until I get the speakers in the doors replaced, I am balancing 70% of the sound to the new Alpines in the rear. The speaker range is comparable to the Bose system I had in my Infinity G.
