Quality Value Price I did alot of reviews before I bought these speakers.I wanted good bass and these are exactly good for that and good with out bass boosting them as well.Loud and crisp sound.I have them mounted in a 2001 honda civic coupe in the rear deck.I will be getting alpines for the front doors as well.I don't have an amp I just have a receiver with a built amp pushes the speakers just fine. Quality Value Price Always been an Alpine fan ( Alpine, Kenwood, Memphis Audio, etc.) I'm an old school dude. And these new ALpine type R's hit hard. I had them put in my car (dodge Caliber) powered by the Alpine PDX 5-channel amp. With that amp these things aint no joke. Exactly as it states in the description and worth th emoney.
p.s. i'm about to patch in the Type R 12 to complete my setup. These 6x9's are gonna keep my highs and mids clear, and the 12 is gonna be plenty of base to keep it balanced since my car is a hatchback the acoustics are great. (no tweeters)
p.p.s covers dont fit in my car so my 6x9's are naked but tucked behind the door panels so you don't see them anyway. It did come with them though.(Covers, adapters, speakers{2 per box}, and manual) (Posted on 9/20/2015) -

Quality Value Price I got these 6x9 because I wanted more bump in my trunk. Back in high school, I had subwoofers in my car but now at the age of 30, luggage space is necessary. These speakers, coupled with a 4-channel amp, works great and you'll get all the highs, mids and lows (bass). I consider myself a big bass head and listen to EDM and Trap music and these speakers are great. They do distort once you try to flex its power too much. If you want more power, might as well install these, and add on a subwoofer because you'll need it.

Quality Value Price Don't let ANYONE steer you away from alpine's speakers. These Alpine type r 6x9's are nothing short of amazing. They provide all the punch and mid bass you could want as well as crisp highs. I paired these with an alpine pdx-f4 amp and they sound awesome with plenty of power and they can get really loud without distortion. There are some who speak badly about alpine, but don't believe what they say. I'm here to tell you they make great products and these are great.

Quality Value Price I put four of these in my Jeep Patriot, they sound a lot better than the base factory units.
I'm not an audiophile, so I can't give a break down on the audio qualities, best go to an audio store
and listen to a range of speakers so you know what you're getting.

Quality Value Price I only replaced my rear speakers with these Alpines with total confidence that they will sound great. When I listened to my usual cds, they provided sounds from instruments I didn't realize were there. It's like I bought a whole new system. I'm very pleased. I have an older Alpine in my truck which sounds so good I get goose bumps, so I Know how good Alpine is. The better your music sounds, the better life is. No complaints whatsoever.

Quality Value Price After I swapped out my factory speakers to these, the change in sound quality was dramatic. I had also replaced my head unit with an Alpine CDE-SXM145BT. These speakers fit in my factory locations in my 2008 Jeep Patriot perfectly.
I have paired all 4 of these SPR-69's with the Alpine PDX-F4 and I can only praise the quality of the sum of my components.
Be sure to get factory wiring harness for your vehicle to plug up to the quick connects on these speakers, or be prepared to solder the wires.
Running them with HPF set at 80, they put out a decent amount of bass but I still suggest a good subwoofer, at least 10" to round out your sound stage.

Quality Value Price In an earlier review, I noted that I'm very happy with my mobile sound system which is made up of only Alpine products except for the Bazooka self-powered subwoofer. When I used Alpine speakers in the past, mixing brands for the rest of the system, and thought the Alpine speakers sounded harsh. Once I paired them with all Alpine components, though, their sound quality is much better. Who knows why this is true, but these are very good speakers for the price. Fit easily in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who is building a system with an Alpine head unit and amp(s).

Quality Value Price "Put a couple of these in my 03 Malibu connected to an Alpine PDX-F4 so I know they're getting plenty of juice. I've cranked them quite a bit and they haven't distorted yet.
They put out good sound but don't expect a ton of bass. You're gonna need a subwoofer to go with these if you want some thump."
