Wow! Review by Martinez
Quality Value Price I haven't messed with mobile audio in some time and found this subwoofer light years ahead in terms of build quality and power handling to what I've owned in the past. It's heavy and and almost too beautiful to be enclosed in a speaker box. I'm running a Rockford Fosgate M750-1D rated at 900wrms in a ported box and it's more than enough on the beach from over a hundred feet away with the gain turned way down. This speaker has inspired me to build a system for my truck. Get it, you won't be disappointed!

I'm Never Ordering a Different Sub Again! Review by Williams
Quality Value Price Two of these bridged down to a 2 ohm Load + 1 Alpine MRX-110 = One ridiculous system. I put two of these plus 1 Alpine 1100w amp in my 01 Mustang GT and they far exceeded my expectations. I cannot even tell you how loud they are. I can also tell you if you add another amp so each subwoofer is getting 1100w, well... I have never heard anyone's Kickers, Rockford, ect as loud as these. I matched my ported box, to the actual spec requirements and they hit, they hit clean, hard, and fast. Even if its a rock song, to a rap, or a country song. Also after 4 different people who have heard mine in my car, have also replaced theirs with these, I have zero complaints about these subs, and I have used different kind's of Memphis Subs, Kicker, Rockford, JBL, to Power Base, ect. This was not my first time installing a stereo so I have had quite a few. I don't know what they hit on a DB Scale if your looking for stereo comp help, but these are the way to go. I'll never buy any other sub again.

Outstanding Value, Excellent Punch Review by Lee
Quality Value Price I bought this to replace a much more expensive subwoofer that failed due to a broken dust cap. I had intended for it to be a temporary solution until I could have my other woofer repaired. Once I heard this in action, I decided not to even bother with swapping it back out.
Since this subwoofer has two 2-Ohm voice coils, it can be wired to run in 1-Ohm mode or 4-Ohm mode. This can be confusing if you're not familiar with subwoofer wiring. The instruction manual that comes with the woofer will tell you exactly how to place the included jumpers to get the result you want. I'm running it in 1-Ohm mode w/ a 1-Ohm stable amp pushing 1200W RMS and am having no problems at all.
Alpine Type-R subs have been very good; this latest generation is even better. (Posted on 9/20/2015) -

Great bass low cost Review by Brian
Quality Value Price Is my third type R alpine sub, firts the swr-1242d, then swr-1243d and now this D2, i recommned use it in a ported box, it works great from 300 RMS if you want more you can go to 1000 RMS, nice build, good materials and quality, flexible connections two voice coils at 1OHM or 4OHM or even 1 single voice coil at 2 OHM, 24 pounds of power, great deal.

its no longer slappin good so returned, Review by Edward
Quality Value Price It worked better than I ever thought it could for about a week or so and then something messed up has definitely happened. I have a 1000.1 RF punch amp newer series and wired the sub to 2 ohm with a expensive kicker 4 guage wiring kit. It sounded super good and the bass was great for about a week and a half and then just the other day a super irregular sound that was horrible started comin from the sub so I turned it down and then it smelled like burnt plastic or something. Once I let it cool down and turned it back on later the sub wasn't sounding horrible anymore but itwasnt hitting to its potential either and sounded a little off. I had the hz matched up on the amp and the gain wasnt even turned all the way up, idk how I could have messed up a 3000w max sub with this amp???? Help does it have a warranty or am I screwed? ****now I returned it so im not too pissed thanks Caraudiogiants

Hammers! Review by Christopher
Quality Value Price This is an excellent speaker and I have tried many over the years. Infinity, pioneer, rockford fosgate, kicker. This rules them all! Nice tight bass and can handle massive amounts of wattage. Never distorts...ever. FYI - it is very deep and very heavy and requires a pretty big box. Do your research, get some high watts flowing, a nice pre-amp, and a decent box and you will fall in love.
