best bang for the buck Review by Johnson
Quality Value Price These were the only speakers that were going to fit in my car, thanks to 2.25'' mounting depth. My ears got spoiled by spr-60c (6.25'') on my previous car and i found the spr-50c to be not much different. They have the same tweeter, but the lows are advertised only 5hz less. In the real world i'd give them a 10hz difference. Both 50c and 60c will distort at high volume if not crossed at 80hz . 50-60w true rms per channel seem to be the top these can handle. Most people won't bear even half the volume and shut their ears, while speakers are barely flexing. The highs and the lows are not the best comparing to higher end speakers but the midrange -Kicks and drums play perfect on these speakers. No speakers below $300 have better mid-range sound than these. (Posted on 11/4/2015)

Great for BMW E39… Review by Johnson
Quality Value Price replaced the mid-range and tweeters in my E39 BMW M5, great sound! Low installation depth is ideal for the BMW loudspeaker baffles, you will need to use 4x3/8in screws each. The original screws will be too short, the screws that come with the speakers too long. (Posted on 9/20/2015)

Wow… Review by Robert
Quality Value Price These speakers are awesome. If you put enough power to them they will blow you away. The sound is crisp, clean and they have ample bass for a small speaker. I love Alpine products.

Lovely-sounding speakers Review by Davis
Quality Value Price Excellent pair of speakers for my 2005 Hyundai Elantra. I have always appreciated the quality of Alpine products, but used to think their speakers sounded rather harsh. I found that building an entire Alpine system (except for a Bazooka subwoofer) does make a difference. I would recommend these speakers to anyone putting together a higher-quality mobile sound system. Packaging was good. The shipping time was a bit slow, but worked out for my purposes.

Great Buy Review by Martin
Quality Value Price These Alpine Comps are definitely worth buyin, they aren't much cheaper anywhere else if you get free shipping. THEY ARE AT BEST BUY FOR 300 A PAIR.... These speakers sound wonderful I went the fun route and ran new Z-series wiring for a crystal clear sound. Its really not that difficult to mount the tweeters either my doors are so thick that i didn't even have to use the mounting ring on the back they are stuck in there on their own. YOU BETTER PLAN ON USING THESE WITH AN AMP. I only used a 300 watt alpine 4 channel however i ended up with one rated at 92 watt per channel, then you should be fine with about a 300watt 50watt per channel amp. If you are however trying to run these on a stock Headunit or cheap 100 dollar thing from Best Buy you may need some more juice. Highly recommended to anyone that will take the time to make it sound good but you should probably get a sub and another amp or get a 5 channel.

Great for the money Review by Joseph
Quality Value Price I had these speakers in my M3 convertible for over one year now, running them on the front channels of a Cadence CRS C9 amp. These speakers need a high output amp. They need to be driven. The tweeters are overpowering for my taste, but changing the settings on the crossovers does the trick. I recently replaced them with Hybrid Audio Technologies speakers. The HAT speakers give me more base, but can't handle the power of the amp. This is with an installed crossover! The HAT's (Imagine's) sound better, but at a much higher cost ($ 300, plus a crossover). The Alpines do require a subwoofer if you want good bass in your car. Overall, these Alpine's are great speakers, if you tweak them in correctly.

Awesome sound! Review by Daniel
Quality Value Price Excellent speakers. I bought these for my 2004 Dodge Dakota standard cab. They weren't supposed to fit, but install of the woofers wasn't that bad and the tweeters weren't much worse. I will be revisiting the woofer install for a more stable placement. For the time being they're connected to a cheap 22wx4 Kenwood front end and they are sounding FINE! I can't wait to upgrade the rest of the system.

Great speakers Review by Joseph
Quality Value Price These where a bit smaller than my factorys in 99 Buick Regal so I was a bit worried on install if they would sound ok.
They sound amazing and can take a lot of Bass without distortion I am pleasantly surprised. I had Monsoon amp so just plugged the unit in with existing wiring and good to go with some minor tweaking to fit the big tweeters. (Posted on 10/4/2014) -
