Quality Value Price I purchased the Alpine SPR-50 speakers mostly because I wanted to be sure they would match the Alpine CD/radio player previously installed. Since all 4 original equipment speakers had been blown out, I had to make sure they could handle the power. Also, I noticed in the picture description that the speaker connections matched the wire ends of my car. The result is a great-sounding pair of speakers that were easy to install, with surprisingly good bass response...at a price I could afford to pay. (Posted on 9/20/2015)

Quality Value Price I have these in a 2009 Aveo 5 with a kicker 200.4 and i have to turn the amp down to just below half or they dont sound very good. But at that volume they sound really good great highs and decent mids. The amp i am running at that gain setting they are only gettting about 45 watts i wanted to push them with the complete 100 rms but i cannot do that do to sound sound quality. I would spend the extra money and buy the components if i was going to do it again they sound great at the 100 rms. Overall great sounding speakers just watch your levels. (Posted on 10/20/2014)

Quality Value Price Alpine does it yet again. I love how these sound. they are so crisp and have a perfect amount of bass. I haven't amped them yet and doubt if I will because they sound good coming from just the head unit. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good upgrade.

Quality Value Price I set these Alpine type R speakers in my 1991 Geo Prizm, and the speakers bump without any problems. Though, I need to hook the speakers up to an amp so they'll play louder and clearer. But even without the amp, the speakers still play pretty well. No doubt about it, I think I made a solid investment in these speakers.

Quality Value Price Alpine I was told had started to lose it so I compared the subs to jl, jl won the sub battle. Now im working on speakers to overpower my sub. I'm switching to all alpines after several rf speakers, some Sony's and a pioneer.
These little 5.25 speakers are LOUD. And sound awesome. If you went to wakarusa 2013, I was blasting these with the same wattage as my rf t165 6.5 in the Fayetteville entrance line before midnight. Sound clarity to where the music was clear and foreground was about 3 cars forward, 3 cars across and 15-20 cars back. I did the test in the middle of a bunch of running cars so open field distance is probably more. These are installed on my back 2 doors, sound is noticeably much louder from these than my front two.
So on to what really matters, I have blown one of these, I believe it was from the rain/mud and 60mph winds that blew this out. I'm pretty sure it was water that blew it because it was working just fine, turned off my car, huge storm hit and my front door was protected but the rear wasn't, turned car on in the morning and speaker was obviously blown. The other is fine though. Because both didn't blow I am ordering another set to replace my back ones. I can throw 270w rms at each door speaker
Final word, these speakers are great, but I have been overpowering the passive crossover on my rf t165 and less so on these. These will make it loud enough you can't hear anyone yelling but if you want to pass that, find nicer speakers. I may upgrade from one jl 12w3v3 ported at 40hz, when I do, I will need nicer speakers, but since I'm not upgrading for a long while, these will do, and they seem to perfectly fit my sub. Quality Value Price This coaxial speakers will sound way better, cleaner, louder than the bigger 6.25'' sps-610c components, they will also last much longer due to better materials used. But if you like your music really loud save a bit more and get the spr-50c components. While the difference is not substantial, the spr-50 distorts a bit sooner on max volumes. (Posted on 10/4/2014)
