Awesome Review by Betty
Quality Value Price This is one of the best subwoofers ive ever heard. I have one hooked up in my car with a 1000/1v2 and it bangs hard! ive never heard anything like it. The only down side is they are a little spendy and are really heavy. But are definatly worth the money. If you can get your hands on one of these, they sound great and bump hard. Plus it will make everyone in your neighborhood jealous. (Posted on 12/20/2015)

Quality Value Price These subs are beasts they are probably the loudest and best sounding sub for the money. they have a well rounded range of bass and the clarity of it is amazing. (Posted on 11/14/2015)

damn fine sounding sub Review by Jason
Quality Value Price This sub is pricey, but is extremely loud and sounds good too. Paired with a spec vented enclosure, this thing rocks any type of music. A single 13w7 with a true 1000 watts rms will make your windows flex and I still don't have mine set up properly yet nor is it even broken in. Expensive, but well worth it. It's money you won't regret spending. Gave 4 stars for value because of price, and 4 stars for features and ease of use because of the odd dual 1.5 ohm voice coils. (Posted on 11/10/2015)

This Speaker Knocks Hard Review by Robinson
Quality Value Price I have this thing in a custom 13w7 box in the back of my Toyota Land Cruiser, and it is ridiculous!!! That truck has a lot of air space inside, and that speaker fills it up and then some. It's just small enough to keep up with the double bass drums in metal (and it sounds like a machine gun), but so deep that it sounds like an earthquake from down the street when I'm listening to rap or whatever thumps. I would buy another but I dont want to go deaf and shatter my windows (Posted on 10/22/2015)

13W7 review Review by Baker
Quality Value Price I purchased a 13W7 and a ported box tuned to jl specs and this one sub hits very hard! In a 01 civic the 13 hits pretty tight when needed and super low and very deep. The sound quality is pretty remarkable! I'm running a JL 1000 on it and it loves it. I previously was running two MTX thunder 12 7500's and this one sub destroys them on the same amp. However on some music I still miss the MTX's sound. The only real drawback to the 13w7 would be the weight in a good box is close to 100 pounds, I would recommend a high output alternator and a XS Power battery and 1 gauge wire to maximize the full potential. wow Review by Taylor
Quality Value Price I have 3 of these subs in my yukon running on a rf bd1500 1 at .75 ohms. Each sub is getting a lil over 2100 watts absolutely clean and loud. there is a reason JL has not changed theses subs in 10 years there is no need i play at full volume all the time an for the first time in 6 years i blew one. 365$ to jl and i get re-coned back in business all i can say is this sub is the best sub ive ever heard. There are alot of other subs out there that claim to be louder an most of them are 18's an need 6000 watts. I promise 3 jls running on 2000 watts each is gonna be louder then any 18. These subs are awesome Review by Nelson
Quality Value Price Sounds great in my boat! Had custom box built. When buying this, make sure you have the proper amp to back up its performance, would def. recommend buying JL HD amps of at least 750 continuous watts. And a battery that will back up its massive power! (Posted on 2/11/2015)

JL 13 W7 Anniversary Edition Review by Thompson
Quality Value Price This driver is amazing! People are always taking about how you can buy any other sub for a cheaper price and get the same sound. Yeah, you probably can but I feel like this was the best money I ever spent on one sub. My previous set up was 2 rockford fosgate T1D212 running at 2 ohms on a rockford 1500 bdcp which puts out at least 1500 watts at 2 ohms at 14.4 volts. After doing the big three upgrade my voltage did not drop below 14 on heavy play so I know I was getting the most out of the amp. Those two subs were extremely loud. I lost a lot of sound quality the louder I cranked up the volume. There was nothing wrong with that set up I just wanted to try something different. Currently, I am running this JL 13 W7AE (It is the new Anniversary Edition which has the new emblem and the black basket.) at 3 ohms due to the fact my amp is not stable at 0.75 ohms. My amp does 1000 watts at 4 ohms so I figure I am getting at least 1200 watts or more of power from the amp at 3 ohms. I feel this sub out performs my T1s at 1200 watts vs. their 1500 watts. The bass is a lot cleaner at higher volumes and man does this sub move some air. I have it in a ported enclosure I bought off ebay which is built to JL specs for the sub. Bottom line, if you want one driver that will produce a better sound than 2 twelves, this sub is for you. Also, I really don't think you need a JL amp to pair up with this sub, my rockford 1500 bdcp does just fine and it is a whole lot cheaper than the new hd or the slasher amps; however, if I did not already have the amp, I probably would have bought the new slasher 1200/1v3. I hope this review helps you with your decision to buy the best sub I have every heard and I have had many brands over the last 15 years, just could never afford this one until now.

Best SQ sub at a high volume Review by Harris
Quality Value Price If you want the loudest sub out there, get something else. HOWEVER, if you want the best sound quality at ridiculous volumes, then this is the sub for you. I'm running a ported enclosure in a 2011 KIA Forte with a JL 1200/1HD amp! That's 1200 RMS! Nasty! I carelessly pulled up to a WaWa convenience store and set off all the car alarms in the parking lot! This thing is SO CLEAN at high volumes! It's breath taking. Never distorts or breaks up. Be sure to buy a >1000 watt amp or you'll fail to run this thing right! The JL 1200/1 is the amp of choice for this sub and pushes it nicely! I even had a friend that said his back felt better after a few dub step songs. Next time I'll charge admission! Lol
