Quality Value Price I had my box made for 2 jlW7s by Fatbox USA. They did a great job and my SPL went way up. I drive a Tahoe, now that I have a ported box the dash actually jumps up and down lol. I dynamited my truck with the NVX sound dampener and it worked awesome! I'm putting realistically 900watts to ea W7 and they love it! If the subs were cheaper I'd build a wall for 6 of these pigs and do second skin application. Be advised you will need a powerful 4ch amp to drive your surround speakers. I have 2 sets of JLC5-650 components and 2 sets of Focal PC690 6x9s to keep up when the bass is cranking. These are great OVERALL subs, if you want big sloppy sounding SPL go buy Kickers,Sundown,DC audio,earthquake ect. If you want pure clean bass you can tweak to your taste, go buy a W7 and get a custom vented box. I promise you won't be disappointed folks! (Posted on 11/10/2015)

Quality Value Price I thought I was impressed with the JL 12W6 until it crapped out (due to the eq curve that I didn't know about because it was purchased used.) My plan was to reuse the ported enclosure for the 12W7 but the woofer is damn near larger than the enclosure so I had no choice but to have an enclosure built to specs. There's a note that accompanies the woofer that says to tune your system without an eq curve (had I know that, my 12W6 may still be alive) The SQ of this woofer is excellent yet the 12W7 has SPL like multipe woofers. A ported enclosure is the only way to maximize the performance of this woofer. I have the JL HD 600/4 on my interior speakers and I'm pairing the woofer with the JL HD 750/1 and it's a match made in audio heaven. I have two blue top Optima's without any capacitors (capacitors are worthless) and the amps have no problems getting the power they need even with the ignition being in the accessory only position. Quality Value Price Sub is awesome. I bought a jl 1000 watt amp to bump to this and it sucked. My kicker zx500 bump my w7 pretty nice in my honda fit. Still have plenty of room to bump even harder but my 500 watt gets the job done nicely. Best sub I owned and a bit pricey but well worth it if you have extra cash to spend. (Posted on 10/5/2015)

Quality Value Price A lot of people say that JL Audio is overpriced, and it kind of is, but we all know that good things don't come cheap. I got this sub to replace my W3's and DAMN, this thing pounds. It handles whatever you throw at it. Lows, highs, anything. You can not only hear the bass, but you can feel it too. If you say that JL sucks or whatever, then why do you think they still get top dollar for this dub7? Or any other sub made by them.. It's the quality. And I pushed my W3's to the max and slapped the hell out of them and they never gave up on me. Never smelt a burnt coil or anything. JL Audio is quality, you get what you pay for. I have one of these installed in my pickup truck, single cabin, vented box. Believe me, I am more than satisfied with its performance. This Subwoofer has excellent quality and there is no distortion. I push it with a Phoenix Gold of 600watts and its more than enough.

Quality Value Price I bought two of these with the 1200.1 slash v3 amp. from a local audio shop ....I was so nervous handing the money over, i was shaking..this was the most money I had ever spent on subs and an amp....took them home opened the box and ...WOW.. these things are MONSTERS.....MONSTERS. I could not stop smilling...these had to get in my car asap..so i built a box, installed subs, amp and wiring, put in my best cd and BOOOM<BOOM.. I mean awesome.. everything around me was shaking...awesome...the inside of my were tickleing and this was with the gain on the amp not even a quarter of the way up...it sounds awesome...best sounding bass i have ever heard...and i havnt thought about the money since.... Quality Value Price I have owned many JL products over the years and as usual this sub is well built and puts out consistent deep pounding bass with zero distortion. I had 2 installed in my 2003 Mustang Cobra with 2 JL 1000/1 amps pushing each sub. They are flat amazing, can seariously enhance Country music and handle the demanding bass of Hip Hop with ease. when they're really cranked it felt like they could make your Eardrums rupture and stop your heart. no joke. I have had JL 15's, 12W6's, 10w6 and these are hands down the best.
The only downside is they are big & heavy (not a good thing for a Mustang) and they take alot of power to run, I had a High output Altenator w/ an adjustable Voltage regulator & 6 phase rectifier (similar to an ambulance system) with an Optima battery and a copaciter and it still dipped the volts. This was only when it was cranked up and was not a big issue, but upgrades to the electrical system are a must to keep up with this setup.

Quality Value Price I always do my research on whatever I think I would like to purchase. Because of this, I have spent the last nine months doing extensive research to figure out the one subwoofer that would give me the best quality boom for my buck. Hands down, this subwoofer, even at the price that I got it for, was well worth the money I spent. In my opinion (based on my likes/dislikes,) this subwoofer is the perfect subwoofer; the bass is so clear and crisp, the lows are LOW, and the loudness is incredible. I would highly recommend this subwoofer to anyone...'Nuff said. :-D

Quality Value Price If your looking for a jl audio w7 it's because you've already seen,heard,or heard about them. I got mine shipped to my door within a week. Perfect condition box. The speaker was brand new. The seller replied to a email faster than I thought possible to answer a question I had. Yes these subs cost a lot of money. But when you care as much about your music and the quality in which you hear it, then money comes second. These subs are hand built. You get what you pay for. I haven't bought another brand of sub since my first pair of w3's. Since then I've had w6's and now the 7's. I don't see myself looking a buy another sub any time soon. My only suggestions are to make sure you have the proper enclosure and an amp that can push this thing. I have mine on a 1000/1. If you are one of the people always talking trash about jl audio...go buy your kickers and save the jl's for real music enthusiasts. :) hope this helps (Posted on 9/3/2014)
