Price Value Quality These speakers are fantastic. I have two 12' subwoofers so I dialed back on the bass as I don't need it. If you have a stock system and want a little more "ummph" then I suggest these. Be sure to check if the tops won't intrude on your stock grills as the HAMR surround is tall. They are power hungry speakers but stock head unit amplifiers will work just fine. If you decide to power them they become a whole new beast and turn into little Monsters hiding in your door. They are louder and play better bass than my Polk 6x9, Very Happy with them.

Great Buy Review by Jones
Price Value Quality These Alpine Comps are definitely worth buying through Amazon they aren't much cheaper anywhere else if you get free shipping. THEY ARE AT BEST BUY FOR 300 A PAIR.... These speakers sound wonderful I went the fun route and ran new Z-series wiring for a crystal clear sound. Its really not that difficult to mount the tweeters either my doors are so thick that i didn't even have to use the mounting ring on the back they are stuck in there on their own. YOU BETTER PLAN ON USING THESE WITH AN AMP. I only used a 300 watt alpine 4 channel however i ended up with one rated at 92 watt per channel from Best Buy (should have been 75 watts per b/c 300 watts/4channels) according to the birth sheet with the amp. I would say if you have a good-excellent Headunit with solid output (mine is a Alpine Double IVE) then you should be fine with about a 300watt 50watt per channel amp. If you are however trying to run these on a stock Headunit or cheap 100 dollar thing from Best Buy you may need some more juice. Highly recommended to anyone that will take the time to make it sound good but you should probably get a sub and another amp or get a 5 channel. (Posted on 9/20/2015)

Great Speakers but wrong dimensions.. Review by Steven
Price Value Quality I bought these speakers and have had them for 2 months. I love them dearly and even bought type R 6x9's and 2 type R 8" subs to back them up. The only problem I had with these speakers was the installation. Component speakers do sound a lot better than coaxial speakers, but are a lot more tedious to install. One of the problems I had with my installation was that the woofer did not line up with the hole of my factory door speakers, thus making me dril three extra holes, and even after that I could only use two of the three holes that I had drilled. Things that I love about these speakers is the crossover's ability to change the db of the tweeter. it's allows you to customize the speaker's "settings" to your liking. Both my 6x9's and my component 6.5's are hooked up to my CD deck, and I couldn't help but notice that the component are a little quieter than the coaxial 6x9's but, the component are a lot clearer which makes up for it. All in all I am really happy with these speakers and my new setup, and I'm getting compliments from my friends saying that my sound system sounds great :) Thank you Caraudiogiants for your amazing prices, and thank you Alpine for your amazing speakers!

Great quality for the price Review by Paul
Price Value Quality I bought this Alpine speakers kit for my VW New Beetle in replacing of the stock speakers.
I have an Alpine deck.
Alpine is the best in terms of audio quality and this speakers kit it's a great bargain for the price.
If you want to get the best from them you have to put an amplifier to get some more juice to the woofers but even with the stock RMS you get from the deck it's a great improvement.
Buy it, you won't regret. (Posted on 10/4/2014) -
If you want great sound this is it! Review by Young
Price Value Quality I bought the last model of these speakers for my front doors in a ford ranger a year ago and now ive finally bought this set for my rear. I mounted the tweaters at ear level in the upper corners of the back sear so the truck is full of sound. These speakers really crank with no distortion. Every note is crisp and clean. They are connected to a 4 channel alpine 50watt per channel amp. I have a sub for the bass and highly recommend having a sub if you want full sound. With the right tools they can be installed in 1-4 hours depending on your installation. Save money and do it yourself! plus you'll know it's installed correctly. I had besy buy install an amp to power my speakers and they reversed the left and right channel on the rear speakers! always verify that work you have done is proper!

Amazing Sound! Review by Hill
Price Value Quality These speakers are great if you are looking to replace your factory speakers. If you like alot of bass with your music though you will definitely need to get a subwoofer. I will not bash the speakers though because according to their specs they are rated to only go down to 70hz...so I knew what I was getting into when I bought them. I will agree with others that the tweeters are very overpowering but cutting the included crossover back to -4db does the trick. They can handle alot of power, and they will handle clean bass with tightness and power very well. Again they are not subwoofers but in my opinion they are pretty decent on the low end. The mids and highs are superb crystal clear bright and colorful... I would highly recommend them.

Satisfied customer Review by Moore
Price Value Quality "This pair replaced my factory bose front component speakers (08 GMC Sierra) with minimal customizing such as drilling a couple pilot holes and splicing the connectors. At the same time, I installed a pair of Alpine 60's in the back.
Very satisfied with how easy Alpine made this do-it-yourself installation for me. Not all aftermarket speaker companies provide this high quality mounting plate. I was able to achieve the pure quality sound I was looking for with these speakers connected to an aftermarket JL 4 channel amp connected to the stock touch screen head unit. I tied into the low level signal wires that fed the bose amp. I kept the center console subwoofer connected to the bose amp and also added a higher powered sub and amp under the back seat."

Best Car Speakers i ever had Review by Harris
Price Value Quality So i got a pair of used mint SPR-60c for $60 on craigslist from a guy that i believe took them out from a wrecked car.
I previously had stock boss, infiniti, harman kardon(latest) speakers in my cars and nothing comes even close to SPR-60c. The clarity of sound is exceptional, clean at any volume level. Have them hooked up with Alpine PDX-F4(120w x4) and at 50% output on amp this speakers are more than enough. The bass is very accurate. Some low notes are so clear and loud comparing to previous stock speaker setups where same low notes where 15-20% as audible. This speakers were the only ones that could fit in my doors without extensive custom work because of the limited speaker depth in my bmw e46, yet have a decent sound, . Bigger, larger magnets means usually better sound, unlike this Alpines
If i new this speakers were this good, i would have payed full price for new ones without any doubts.
Got a pair of new SPS-610c ($67) in the rear just for the sake of replacing stock harman kardon speakers. Absolutely different speakers, they are ok, better than stock, but not near as clear as spr-60c.
I highly recommend using sound deadening around speakers on both door panel and the door itself. GTMAT 80mil is pretty good or go with dynamat if you got extra money. If you hate rattles that are more audible at mid volume, sound deadening is a must. I could hear annoying rattles here and there from stock speaker and radio. Considering that there is more bass and output now from spr-60c and pdx-f4, no audible rattles at all with sound deadening. (Posted on 10/4/2014) -

Awesome sound! Review by Allen
Price Value Quality Excellent speakers. I bought these for my 2004 Dodge Dakota standard cab. The install of the woofers was a no-brainer and the tweeters weren't much worse. For the time being they're connected to a cheap 22wx4 Kenwood front end and they are sounding FINE! I can't wait to upgrade the rest of the system.

Alpine Type R 6.5 inch component speakers Review by Raymond
Price Value Quality I had a set of these in the front and reguler 6.5's in the back and they rocked and sounded great. If you want a good system for a good price these are a great buy. (Posted on 9/19/2014)

These sound great Review by Adams
Price Value Quality These speaker sound great, but they do need A LOT OF POWER. MY 60 watt per channel Kenwood just did not power then enough to get the full benefit of their sound. Once I went to the Alpine 100 watt per channel RMS amp they came to life. Unlike a couple review mine are not tinny and I simply could never reduce the db on the crossover. Maybe it's my amp or head unit or maybe the placement of the tweeters in the stock position in my doors, but the treble sounds perfect in my 2000 Monte Carlo with the crossover set at 0db. I can turn up the volume all the way, and there is no distortion whatsoever and these speakers are not going to blow. That may be in part to my amp and are a perfect match to my PDX F4
