Inexpensive Ground pounder Review by Donald
Price Value Quality Currently installed in a single bass ported tube. I replaced the blown sub with this one. I'm also using a kenwood (model ?) 350 max to push this speaker in bridge mode. Sounds hit hard with no distortion. The construction appears very well made. Note this speaker comes with no grill guard only a mounting ring to be used under or on top depending on how its mounted into an enclosure. The instructions provided were on the box depicting both sealed and ported enclosure. Measurements were also provided for either sealed or ported specs. Worked well for my application. Very satisfied with this inexpensive replacement.

Great single voice coil 12" sub Review by George
Price Value Quality I bought this speaker so cheap that I wasn't expecting much out of it. I put it in a bandpass box (1.25 C/ft) hooked up to a Kenwood KAC9105D amp pushing 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms, and I can barely turn the gain or the bass boost up on the amp. I'm sure if I push it hard (which I most likely will) it will eventually blow, but for the money it's worth the enjoyment I'll get out of it.

kenwood Review by Kenneth
Price Value Quality im extremely happy with this subwoofer ...for the price range this is probably the best your gonna find. I have two of them on a 2400 watt amp and it sounds incredible i get home and it feels like my brain has been loosened up in my head lol i have two brand new unused 15inch kickers 10CVX15-2 that im afraid of using because of how rediculous my system sounds with just two of thsese and those kickers make my kenwoods look like baby beat

Great Sub for a Great price Review by Brian
Price Value Quality Just installed this sub in my car a couple weeks ago and it sounds absolutely fantastic!! I have it in a sealed enclosure with a 1000 watts rms going to it from my planet audio amp and my car shakes! Give it another two weeks and i will need to re hang up my rear view mirror! If you are on a budget, and need one or two subs that will really pound but won't cost you a ton, then this sub is the one for you!!

OUTSTANDING SUB WOOFER Review by Kevin
Price Value Quality I have this sub by itself in my Honda, It has never let me down! I have had it about 2 years and I use it daily. No complaints! I would recommend this to anyone looking for good bass. I have been using a sealed box for it. I just ordered a ported box. I will have to see the difference for myself. great buy!

Competition Quality? I think so! Review by Linda
Price Value Quality Kenwood put quality parts at a affordable price in these subs, They sound great ported or sealed. Clean deep lows , Good power with low distortion. I have these hooked up to a Power Acoustik BAMF (yes it stands for what you think and will prove it) 1600/4 bridged down the gain and bass boost half way up and they pound. If you are looking for a awesome system on a budget I recommend these to you.

Ecellent sound Review by Jeff
Price Value Quality This sub is more than I could have asked for. I have two of them and they pull 800watts RMS when they both hit. They get loud! The first day I had them I tested them out and I had a noise complaint from 3 houses away. This is an amazing over average starter woolfer and I would highly recommend it to anyone

Sounds awesome! Review by Paul
Price Value Quality I have this hooked up to a Kenwood 9105d 1800 Watt Class-D Mono Amp and it sounds awesome. It has some impressive bass at high levels. It has plenty of bass even at 3-5/18 bass boost level. It will hit very hard if you want it to.

Exactly What I Was Looking For.. Review by Ronald
Price Value Quality I was looking an amp that would drive my 10 inch Rockford Fosgate (Prime, slim Model). The technician that configured this set-up went for a fiber glass custom build enclosure and Boston Acoustics Amp. This Amp would turn off randomly and when reported that technician told me that it was my car wiring that was acting and might also be due to the car battery. On his advise, I replaced the battery but that did not solve the problem and the technician kept on insisting that it fault was with my car's wiring. I got fed up and wanted to try something else and tried this amp (got it installed with a Fry's Electronics technician this time) and as expected this amp has been continuously working and pretty powerful for a 10 inch sub. In fact, I can now really push my sub to its full potential. So I gave a 5 star as this amp is working as intended and is doing a pretty good job compared to my previous one.

It's a Kenwood - what's not to like? Review by Hall
Price Value Quality There are good brands, ok brands and great brands. For car audio Kenwood is a great brand and when shopped correctly a true value. I replaced a stolen 1800 pro installed rig with a 1100 self purchased rig and installed rig and this is four times the rig I had and all it took was time and craftsmanship on my part.

Perfect! Review by Wright
Price Value Quality This amp has done absolute wonders to my stereo system. I have a 2008 Chevy Malibu and wired the amp with a Kenwood 12" sub into a line out converter on my rear speakers. All I can say is wow! I am running it at 300 RMS 4 ohm and it thumps like crazy. I only meant to have a little added bass to a system that had none and this combination has delivered an intense amount!

Skeptical because of some reviews, but satisfied. Review by King
Price Value Quality "I was really skeptical in purchasing this Mono Class D Amp because of some reviews saying that when you turn up the gain, the amp will automatically shut off; but given the price point and 300 watt RMS @ 4Ohms and 500 watt RMS at 2Ohms, I figure it was worth a shot to try out and if all else fails, you could always return it defective on Amazon.
I hooked up this amp using 8Guage Wire and it works fine after some adjustments. I am pushing a 10"" low profile woofer rated at 200 watts RMS and 800 watts max, and it does the job just fine; almost sounds like I have a 12"" woofer. I turned on the LPF (low pass filter) on my head unit, and set the cross over at 100Hz; set the bass boost to 18db and it sounds near perfect. Being on a budget and for the price, I am satisfied.
My setup:
-Pioneer AVIC-5000NEX Head Unit
- Kenwood KAC-5001PS Amplifier
- Pioneer TS-SWX251 Low-Profile Sub-woofer
If this did not work out, my alternative amplifier would of been an Alpine Monoblock MRV-M500. It has generally the same specifications and has excellent reviews, but costs a little more. So really depends on how much you're willing to spend and whether you want to take a chance on this because I don't know if there was a bad bunch of these amps because of some of the reviews, seems hit or miss.
I say as long as you match the RMS output with your subwoofer RMS or go above that, I think you should be fine. You never want to use an amp that has a significantly lower RMS output for sub-woofers that have much higher RMS inputs; this will overheat the amp and make it work harder and shut it down into protection mode. Hope this general rule of thumb helps. Always look at RMS values instead of peak/max values as these are what really matter."

Awesome Amp that Provides Plenty of Thump! Review by Green
Price Value Quality "Great, clean sounding amp! Have been a Kenwood fan since my first Kenwood deck and amp nearly 20 years ago. Kenwood still is bringing the best in quality and fidelity.
This amp is powering a 600 watt 10"" Kicker Comp preloaded shallow sub box. It is providing a perfect match for the sub at around 70% gain, with my Kenwood deck bass settings nearly flat. This gives you the best possible fidelity."

Great amp Review by Lopez
Price Value Quality This amp is awesome! Hasnt overheated at 4ohms.. And has a cool safety feature that will cut off the amp if it pushes to much so it won't blow your sub! Nice and small with good controls! Defiantly recommend! But do some research first to get the correct wattage you want at either 2 or 4 ohms.. Because at 4ohms this sub only puts out 500 watts
